The schedule for Friday, July 23 at San Diego Comic Con 2010 was just released and coming off the heels of a stellar Thursday, it’s a little underwhelming.  However, it leaves plenty of room for fans to be wowed by new material and that’s always a good thing.  Friday is traditionally the second biggest day of the convention, and this year it seems to be the day studios plan to start the hype machines on a some of their upcoming films that are currently flying below the radar. For example, Hall H will feature Drive Angry 3D, Piranha 3D, Skyline, Super, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and finish up with Sony’s The Other Guys and The Green Hornet.  Friday is also Star Wars Day at Comic Con which means there are panels on every aspect of that franchise.

There’s also screenings of Batman: Under the Red Hood, an awesome Pixar panel, and several high profile TV shows such as The Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead and Terra Nova, just to name a few.  Hit the jump for what I think is worth your time on Thursday, July 23rd at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

10:30-11:30 Summit Entertainment: Drive Angry 3D—  A vengeful father hunts down the people who brutally killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby in the newest film shot in 3D from the writer and director of My Bloody Valentine 3D, starring Nicolas Cage, William Fichtner, Billy Burke, and Amber Heard. 12:00-1:00 Skyline— Universal Pictures, Relativity Media, and Rogue Pictures present an exclusive look at the sci-fi thriller Skyline, directed and produced by the Brothers Strause (Alien vs. Predator: Requiem), whose company Hydraulx has provided visual effects for Avatar, Iron Man 2, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and 300. In Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame, where an extraterrestrial force proceeds to swallow the entire human population off the face of the earth. Colin and Greg Strause unveil an exclusive Comic-Con trailer and scenes from Skyline, along with stars Donald Faison (Scrubs), Eric Balfour (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 24), David Zayas (The Expendables, Dexter), Scottie Thompson (Star Trek), and Brittany Daniel (Club Dread) and moderated by Drew McWeeney.

1:00-2:00 Super— Writer/director James Gunn (Slither), stars Rainn Wilson (The Office), Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), and Michael Rooker (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer), and producers Ted Hope (Adventureland) and Miranda Bailey (The Squid and the Whale) reveal footage from their latest feature production Super, including the first peek at Rainn and Ellen Page’s costume design. Super is a hyper-real and shockingly funny look at the extremely violent antics of a down-on-his-luck man as he attempts to win his wife back from a glamorous drug dealer by teaming up with a psychopathic teen to become costumed crimefighters.

2:15-3:45 Miramax Films: Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark— Producer/co-writer Guillermo del Toro and director Troy Nixey present a first look at their new film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, a hair-raising, spine-chilling tale of horror about a little girl (Bailee Madison) who is sent to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) in the old mansion they are renovating, only to unwittingly unleash malevolent creatures bent on destroying all of them.

4:00-6:00 Sony Pictures Entertainment: The Other Guys and The Green Hornet— Two more sneak peeks at upcoming films from Sony Pictures Entertainment!

The Other Guys–NYPD Detectives Christopher Danson and P.K. Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson) are the baddest and most beloved cops in New York City. Two desks over and one back, sit Detectives Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg). You’ve seen them in the background of photos of Danson and Highsmith, out of focus and eyes closed. They’re not heroes — they’re “the Other Guys.” But every cop has his day and soon Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other detective wants to touch that could turn into New York City’s biggest crime. It’s the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the right stuff? Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, and co-writer/director Adam McKay will be appearing in person.

The Green Hornet–Director Michel Gondry, who makes movies with a special, personal signature, is taking on The Green Hornet—and he’s doing it in 3D. Comic-Con audiences, prepare yourselves. In The Green Hornet, Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of L.A.’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene—until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. To get close to the criminals, they come up with the perfect cover: they’ll pose as criminals themselves. Protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. Confirmed to appear in person to unveil this early look at The Green Hornet in 3D are the Hornet himself, Seth Rogen,  director Michel Gondry, writer Evan Goldberg, producer Neal Moritz, and actor Christoph Waltz.

8:00-10:00 World Premiere: Batman: Under the Red Hood— Warner Home Video, Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Animation proudly present the World Premiere of Batman: Under the Red Hood, the eighth entry in the ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 movies. In the film, Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened. Szeptember 21-én jelenik meg az amerikai boltok polcain a The Experiment (A kísérlet) című pszichológiai thriller Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Clifton Collins Jr. (Crank High Voltage) és Maggie Grace (Lost) főszereplésével. Bővebben erre.

Mickey Rourke, Javier Bardem, Christopher Walken, és a francia énekes-színész, Johnny Hallyday lesznek Tony Scott új filmje, a Potsdamer Platz főszereplői.

A történet két katonáról fog szólni, akik egy New Jersey-i bűnöző család tagjai, és megpróbálnak nemzetközileg terjeszkedni. Scott a hírek szerint Al Pacinónak, Gene Hackmannek és Jason Stathamnek is szán egy-egy szerepet a filmben.

A tervek szerint a rendező és Mickey Rourke a Hell’s Angels című motorosokról szóló filmen is együtt fognak dolgozni.

Megérkeztek az első képek a True Grit című film forgatásáról, melyeken a főszereplő, Jeff Bridgest láthatjuk, aki Reuben J. „Rooster” Cogburnt alakítja.

A Coen testvérek westernje az 1969-es azonos című (magyar címén A félszemű seriff) film remake-je lesz, melyben John Wayne játszotta Bridges karakterét.

Az Oscar-díjas színész mellett Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Barry Pepper, és a képeken látható fiatal színésznő, Hailee Steinfeld lesznek a főszereplők. A történet egy fiatal lányról, Mattie Rossról szól, aki felkeresi Cogburnt, hogy segítsen neki megtalálni apja gyilkosát, Tom Chaneyt.

Az amerikai mozikban idén karácsonykor kerül bemutatásra a film.

Todd Phillips (Másnaposok) rendezésében a Warner Bros. Pictures égisze alatt november 5-én mutatkozik be a Due Date című vígjáték, melyben Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx és Alan Arkin lesz látható. A film forgatókönyvének alapját Alan R. Cohen és Alan Freedland írták, melyet végül Adam Sztykiel véglegesített. (Egyébként a filmet, tavaly ősszel forgatták)

Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.) és felesége első gyermeküket várják, és már csak öt nap van hátra a nagy napig. Peter mindent megtesz, hogy hazarepülhessen Atlantából, hogy feleségével lehessen, de minden a feje tetejére áll, amikor összetalálkozik a feltörekvő színésszel, Ethan Tremblayjel (Zach Galifianakis), aki ráveszi, hogy menjenek együtt kocsival. Az utazásból egy igazi országúti túra lesz, melynek során jó néhány autó, barátság, és Peter idegei is alaposan tönkremennek.@Luke

November 5-én mutatják be korlátozott számban a Kristen Stewart, James Gandolfini és Melissa Leo főszereplésével készült Welcome to the Rileys című R besorolású drámát, mely Ken Hixon  forgatókönyve alapján Jake Scott rendezésében készült.

A Welcome to the Rileys egy erőteljes dráma, melyből megtudhatjuk, hogy néha a legváratlanabb helyeken találhatjuk meg a reményt. Dou és Lois Riley (James Gandolfini és Melissa Leo) egykor boldog házaspár voltak, de mióta nyolc éve meghalt tinédzser lányuk, egyre jobban eltávolodtak egymástól. Doug otthagyja szorongásokkal küzdő feleségét, és New Orleansba megy üzleti útra, ahol találkozik egy 17 éves lánnyal (Kristen Stewart), aki lelépett otthonról, és plátói szerelem alakul ki köztük. Bár úgy tűnik, hogy Lois és Doug házassága már csak egy szalmaszálon függ, kiderül, hogy csak inspirációra van szükségük, hogy újra színt vigyenek kapcsolatukba. @Luke

A sok-sok forgatási kép után végre mozgó anyag is érkezett a Jennifer Aniston és Adam Sandler főszereplésével készült Just Go with It című romantikus vígjátékhoz, melyet a Columbia Pictures (Sony) 2011 február 11-én mutat be (tehát Valentin-napi film lesz). A videókban megszólal Aniston és Sandler mellett Nicole Kidman is.

A produkció forgatókönyvét Allan Loeb, Tim Dowling, Tim Herlihy és Adam Sandler készítette, melyben Sandler, egy nő és gyerekei segítségével próbálja meg álmai nőjét meghódítani.

- Sir Michael Caine tegnap az Inception (Eredet) Londoni premierjén, beszélt a harmadik Batman filmről, miszerint 2011 áprilisban kezdődhet a forgatás, hogy aztán 2012 július 20-án a filmszínházakban debütálhasson a film.

- A Variety jelentése szerint Caleb Landry Jones és Nicholas Hoult aláírtak a következő X-Men filmhez, az X-Men: First Class-hoz. (tegnapi poszt: Aaron Johson lesz a fiatal Küklopsz)

Caleb Landry Jones Banshee -t, míg Nicholas Hoult Beast-et fogja megformálni a 2011 június 3-án érkező produkcióban, mely Matthew Vaughn rendezésében készül.

- A Bloody-Disgusting megerősítette, hogy a hetedik fűrész film Saw 3D: The Traps Come Alive "Fűrész 3D: A csapdák életre kelnek" címmel kerül a mozikba október 22-én, Kevin Greutert rendezésében. (forgatási kép)

- Hétmérföldes szerelem (Going the Distance); hazai premier: szeptember 9. Forgalmazó: InterCom

- Jelenleg 71%-on áll Antal Nimród Ragadozók (Predators) mozija.

- Októberben kezdődik Glenn Ciano rendezésében a Infected című zombis film, melynek főszereplője Michael Madsen és Tom DeNucci lesz.

A történet középpontjában egy apa és fia áll, akiknek harcolniuk kell a túlélésért a halálos, gyorsan terjedő vírus ellen.

A produkció a  Verdi-Corrente Productions égisze alatt fog elkészülni.

- Daniel Craig, Orlando Bloom, Tom Hardy vagy Ewan McGregor játszhatja a The Sweeney című 70-es évekbeli klasszikus sorozat alapján készülő filmben, Jack Regan-t, a társát, George Cartert Ray Winstone fogja alakítani.

- A The Hollywood Reporter értesülései szerint Joe Wright (A szólista, Hanna) rendező egy élőszereplős A kis hableány (The Little Mermaid) filmen munkálkodik, melynek Abi Morgan (Brick Lane) készítette a forgatókönyvét. Az hogy Wright rendezi az alkotást, még egyáltalán nem biztos.

Hans Christian Andersen meséjének ez lenne az első angol nyelvű élőszereplős adaptációja.

- Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One in) rendezésében fog elkészülni a Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (magyarul Az áruló és Árulás címmel jelent meg) című kémregény adaptáció, melyhez Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Michael Fassbender és David Thewlis is esélyes egy-egy szerepre. A történet a hidegháború ideje alatt zajlik, aholis a  történet középpontjában egy visszavonult titkosügynök áll, akinek ismét akcióba kell lépnie, hogy kiderítse, ki a szovjeteknek kémkedő tégla az angol hírszerzésnél (British Secret Intelligence Service).

Egyébként a könyvből 1979-ben már készült egy BBC-minisorozat, amelyben Alec Guinness játszotta a főhőst.

Peter Morgan írta az adaptált forgatókönyvet.

Evelyn A. Salt (Angelina Jolie) a CIA alkalmazottja, de egy szovjet disszidens felismeri benne az oroszok kémjét: azt állítja, hogy Salt alvó ügynök, aki évek óta arra vár, hogy feladatot kapjon igazi munkaadóitól, és most el is jött az ideje. Hamarosan az USA-ba látogat az orosz elnök, őt kell majd megölnie. Salt főnökei nem bíznak semmit a véletlenre: azonnal lecsapnának addigi emberükre, ám van egy baj vele: túl jól képezték ki. Philip Noyce rendező az egyik legnagyobb név a kém- és akciófilmek készítői között: a Halálos nyugalom, a Férfias játékok, a Végveszélyben, A csontember és A csendes amerikai után most Angelina Jolie-val együtt készített egy kirobbanó tempójú, vad, látványos, hiteles akciófilmet.

Befutott a második ugyancsak teaser bemutató a "Facebook filmhez", mely a The Social Network címet kapta, és David Fincher rendezésében készült. Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake és Andrew Garfield (az új Pókember) főszereplésével készült produkció, október 1-én debütál az amerikai mozikban.

Egy, a Foxhoz közel álló forrás az Aint It Cool Newsnak elárulta, hogy a Ha/Ver (Kick-Ass) egyik főszereplője, Aaron Johnson lesz az ifjú Küklopsz (Cyclops) az X-Men: First Class című filmben.

Hivatalos bejelentés valószínűleg a jövő héten, vagy a hónap végén megrendezésre kerülő Comic-Conon várható. Nem lenne egyébként meglepő a dolog, hiszen Johnson és Matthew Vaughn rendező a Kick-Assen is együtt dolgoztak.

Napvilágot látott a hivatalos történet is, amely a következő: az X-Men: First Classben ismét elmélyülhetünk a Marvel mitológiában, is megismerhetjük a mutánsok történetének kezdetét. Mielőtt Charles Xavier és Erik Lensherr felvették volna a Professzor X és a Magneto nevet, csak két fiatalember voltak, akik felfedezték különleges erejüket. Mielőtt ellenségekké váltak volna nagyon jó barátok voltak, és más mutánsokkal dolgoztak együtt - akik közül néhányan ismerősek lesznek, de akad pár új is – hogy felvegyék a harcot a világot fenyegető legnagyobb veszéllyel szemben. A küzdelem során a csapat két részre szakadt, és ezzel megkezdődött az örökös háború Professzor X mutánsai és Magneto harcosai között.

Kedvenc ogrénk élete nem is lehetne jobb, boldogan élnek Fionával és három gyerekükkel. Csakhogy ezt is meg lehet idővel unni, és Shrek kezdi úgy érezni, hogy élete nagyon egyhangúvá vált, ráadásul már nem is az félelmetes szörny, aki régen volt. Shreknek így pont kapóra jön Rumpelstiltskin ajánlata, mely szerint egy napra újra az a régi félelmetes ogre lehet, aki volt, cserébe pedig csak annyit kell tennie, hogy odaadja gyerekkorának egyik napját.

Az alku azonban nem várt következményekkel jár, és ebben az alternatív világban egyik barátja sem ismeri meg Shreket, ráadásul néhányan igencsak meg is változtak. Hősünknek egy napja van, hogy mindent visszacsináljon, ehhez azonban egy szerelmes csókra van szüksége.

A Shrek a vége, fuss el véle sok mindenben hasonlít elődeihez, bizonyos szempontból azonban mégis teljesen más. Ezúttal is jelen vannak a szeretetett karakterek, és Szamár és Kandúr párosa ezúttal is hoz jó néhány poént. Mindazonáltal a 4. rész sokkal kevésbé vicces elődeinél, és inkább komolyabb témákat boncolgat. Shrek egyfajta kapuzárási pánikot él meg, eljut egy olyan pontra, ahol azt érzi, hogy élete teljesen beszürkült és egyhangúvá vált, és ezen mindenáron változtatni akar.

Animációs filmeknél nem nagyon szokás egy alternatív univerzum megjelenítése, ezért is érdekes, hogy a Shrek alkotói ehhez az eszközhöz nyúltak, és ráadásul egy elég nyomasztó hangulatú világot jelenítettek meg. Mindezt persze kellő humorral is ellensúlyozták, és a két gonosz karakter, Rumpelstiltskin és a Patkányfogó és inkább nevetségesek, mintsem veszedelmesek.

A szereplőkkel kapcsolatban a leglényegesebb, hogy Shrek ezúttal minden eddiginél jobban előtérbe kerül, ezzel sokkal közelebb hozva hozzánk a karaktert, hiszen így még jobban átélhetjük lelki vívódását. Természetesen a magyar változatban ezúttal is Gesztesi Károly szólaltja meg Shreket, és ismét kiváló munkát végez, akárcsak a szinkronstáb összes többi tagja.

A mellékszereplők közül Szamárról és Kandúrról már volt szó, utóbbi új hangja Crespo Rodrigo lett, aki szerintem remekül bevált, és nagyon jó választás volt. Szintén örömteli, hogy az alkotók nem feledkeztek meg a „kötelező” kisebb mellékszereplőkről sem, így ezúttal is láthatjuk Pinokkiót, a Farkast, a három kismalacot, Mézit és a vakegereket is.

A Shrek a vége, fuss el véle tehát minden szempontból megállja a helyét, bár az előző részekhez képest jóval komolyabb hangvételű és elgondolkodtatóbb, ugyanakkor tökéletes záróakkordja az ogrekalandnak, különösen a remekül összevágott záróklipnek köszönhetően. Az első két részt összességében így sem sikerült felülmúlnia, de azért egy erős 7/10-es osztályzat mindenképpen jár érte.
